Chris Hessney
Founder and President, Creative Director
Chris’ vision for Hessney & Co., the business he launched in 2015, is built on his strong background in event management and design along with a steadfast belief in building solid client relationships through a personalized approach.
Chris began his career working for restauranteur Stephen Starr and Chef Morimoto. He furthered his career with Andre Balazs and was an integral part of the opening team at The Standard Highline in New York.
Following his successful career with Balazs, Chris was recruited by EMM Group to take on the role of Corporate Style Director where he was instrumental in all creative decision-making and helped define their brand identity.
Most recently with Hessney & Co., Chris has collaborated with a wide variety of well- known companies like Armani, Goop, Netflix, and Martha Stewart Weddings, and was recognized as one of the top wedding florists in the U.S. by Harper’s Bazaar Magazine. Chris’ impeccable eye for design and attention to detail put him in a class by himself, making Hessney & Co. synonymous with excellence on the event planning stage.
Olga Cutillas
Senior Producer
Olga Cutillas started her career in Miami, FL as an Account Executive in the Hospitality & Public Relations industries. Working with hotels, restaurants and events, she learned what it took to bring the client’s vision to life with attention to detail.
In 2017, she moved to New York to pursue a career in Event Production. Since then she has worked on some of the biggest productions in Fashion with clients such as Fenty Savage, Prada, Chanel, The Met Gala, Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery, Cartier, Aman NYC, Maison Margiela & Valentino.
Now as a Senior Producer for Hessney & Co, she oversees all production elements of each event paying particular detail to budget, decor, staffing and logistics. Clients and vendors alike, are consistently acclamatory for successful events and staying calm in challenging situations.
Haden Spenard
Senior Producer
After graduating Parsons, The New School for design with a major in business and design, Haden began his career at Dan Klores Communications working under the director of events. Haden worked alongside the Vice President leading experiential and social strategy as well as events for a portfolio of clients that included L’Oréal Paris, The Walt Disney Company and Land Rover Jaguar.
After spending some time working in Talent Management and PR at Infinity Creative Agency out of Los Angeles, Haden gained both a new perspective on the industry as a whole as well as a unique set of skills allowing him to be multifaceted and understand the business with a 360 point of view.
With a craving to create, Haden has stepped back into the events world where his true passions lie curating experiences as a Senior Producer for Hessney and Co.
James LaBorne
Producer
James moved to New York back in 2015 to pursue his education at Baruch College where he studied Corporate Communications and Marketing and gained many valuable skills that have translated well into the experiential industry.
While attending school he worked in marketing with some of today’s top artists to design and market a plethora of homeware and accessories where he gained his eye for design. During his time there he realized his passion for creativity and production and later began working at a creative agency working to produce events for high-fashion clients such as LVMH, Helmut Lang, and Area.
Joining Hessney & Co after graduation as a Production Assistant he was adaptable, detail-oriented and quickly moved up the ladder. Now as a Producer at Hessney & Co, he is responsible for producing events from start to finish, including but not limited to sourcing venues, hiring labor, and coordinating team logistics—all on time and on budget. His passion allows him to bring forth uninterrupted precision to every project that comes about.
